 >>> In a clever trick, just last night, the Drug Mafia or Ben David tried to set me up to be arrested. No details will be published here, but I have found irregularities in a certain restaurant's and publicist's websites and email. 'Nuff said.

This is the first of Gov. Perdue’s videos that I’ve had the time to view – actually, I MADE the time in my busy schedule because I’m FURIOUS at the legislature – especially the turn-coat Democrats (most Republicans, I expect to act like carpet-bagging devils). Education and responsible parenting of children are our most sacred duties. This video is BRILLIANT!!! KUDOS!!!
Now, what can we do to stop the Republican Madness? I’m new to NC and do not yet know its system of Law. Can politicians be recalled? I’d certainly like to join the effort in Wilmington, although at the moment, I’m very busy running drug traffickers and the Bobbsey Twin, crime-supporting District Attorneys – Ben and Jon David – into jail, or at least out of town.

And I DON’T talk behind anyone’s back!!!

See: http://scottkenan.blogspot.com/ . And buy my EXCELLENT book (if the Republicans haven’t stolen all your money, yet): http://www.amazon.com/WALKING-GLASS-TENNESSEE-WILLIAMS-ebook/dp/B0053480S2 .

Scott

PS: What’s up with Congressman Mike McIntyre’s homophobia: Is it true that like so many Republicans, he’s a CLOSET CASE – or is that just a rumor???

Office of Governor Bev Perdue

Continuing the fight for education

DSC_0085.JPGGov. Bev Perdue pledged this week to continue fighting for education in North Carolina.
Gov. Perdue vetoed the General Assembly’s budget, which included devastating cuts to education and was a step backwards for our state. The General Assembly voted to override the veto.
“The Republican-controlled legislature turned its back on North Carolina's long-standing commitment to our people to provide quality schools, community colleges and universities -- all to save a penny,” Gov. Perdue said. “I vetoed the Republican General Assembly's budget because I believe it will cause generational damage to this state. We must have a highly trained workforce for our state to be globally competitive, and that education begins in preschool classrooms and continues all the way through our community colleges and universities. They are all equally important.”

Gov. Perdue's budget proposal would have invested more than a half billion dollars more in public education than the General Assembly's budget over the next two years.
“This budget is shortsighted and irresponsible. It cuts a full half billion dollars more out of education than I proposed in my budget. It not only damages our education system but also hurts public safety, our environment and our ability to care for those who need us most.
“The General Assembly may have undermined our schools, community colleges and universities. Tonight they may have cut our pre-k programs and turned our education system backwards. But tomorrow, the citizens of North Carolina and I will resume the fight for what we believe in - that education must be the one priority we never turn our backs on.”

Law will protect student-athletes

Gov. Perdue signed into law a bill meant to help prevent death or serious injury caused by concussions among high school athletes.
DSC_0281.JPGHouse Bill 792, the Gfeller-Waller Concussion Awareness Act will ensure coaches and parents receive facts about concussions. The law requires schools to develop emergency plans to deal with concussions and requires student-athletes who exhibit signs and symptoms of concussions to be examined by a medical professional before they return to the field.
The act is named for Jaquan Waller and Matthew Gfeller, two North Carolina boys who died after suffering concussions while playing high school football.  Gov. Perdue signed the bill flanked by state Rep. Dale Folwell, a primary sponsor, and friends and family members of Matthew and Jaquan.
